Add-ons are optional upgrades, and will count toward your minimum bar spend.


Payments

A 50% deposit saves your date. It’s fully refundable if you cancel at least 14 days in advance. Dates are non-transferable. The remaining 50% will be charged the night of your event as a separate line item and is not part of your bar tab.

We add a 20% admin fee at booking and to all bar tabs—no need to tip, our team is already covered. Hosts can cover the tab for everyone, let guests fend for themselves, or split it however they’d like.

Tabs are settled the night of your event and will incur a 7% beverage tax. If your bar spend falls short of the minimum, the difference will be added to your final bill.


Policies

  • Our bar staff at Barlette is TIPS® certified to ensure responsible alcohol consumption. Guests who appear intoxicated will not be served. No drinking games are allowed, and no more than one alcoholic beverage drink shall be served to a patron at once for his or her consumption. Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our guests. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a responsible drinking environment.

    All alcoholic beverages shall be served directly to the patron in open containers by employees of the licensed establishment. No alcoholic beverages served on the licensed premises shall be allowed to be removed from the premises. No patron shall be allowed to bring alcoholic beverages on the licensed premises for consumption on such licensed premises.

  • Shots are available for $12 each

  • The “Last call” for drinks will be a half-hour before closing, so you’ll have time to grab any final rounds.

  • Cocktails are made fresh for your event and must be pre-ordered. Custom cocktails and alternative spirits may be available for an extra fee—just ask.

  • Guests are encouraged to order from a nearby restaurant, hire a caterer, or bring their own beautifully pre-plated cheeses, charcuterie, or crudité. We do not have a full kitchen and cannot reheat any dishes, but caterers can use our small kitchen to unpack and plate food. Food can be brought in 30 minutes before your event or shortly after the party starts. Any remaining food will be packed for you at the end of the party.

    Popular options like sushi, pizza, and dumplings are available for pick-up or delivery within one mile of Barlette. We’re happy to provide specific recommendations if desired. All dishware, utensils, and napkins are provided.

    And yes, you can bring a cake!

  • Hosts can arrive 30 minutes before the event to set out food, add decorations, and hook up music.

  • If you're enjoying your time with us or your event runs over the scheduled time, you can extend it hourly at $250/hr or $125/half hour. Please let us know as soon as possible if you want to extend your event. We'll add this time to your final invoice, so you don't need to worry about busting out your wallet mid-party.

  • A 50% deposit is required to secure your event date, which is not guaranteed until the deposit is received. Cancellations made 14 days or more before the event will receive a full refund. Dates cannot be transferred. Please note that we cannot guarantee availability until a deposit is received. Due to daily inquiries, it is challenging to keep up with changes in availability. We appreciate your understanding.

  • To keep things simple with MA tipping laws, we charge a 20% admin fee at booking and on all bar tabs. This ensures equitable pay for our team.

  • Your drink minimum will be paid at the bar the night of your event and is subject to 7% sales tax. You will be charged for the remaining balance if the minimum isn't met. Drink up!

  • You'll receive an automated email 24 hours after your event. We kindly ask that you settle any outstanding balances within 48 hours of your event. If payment isn't received within this timeframe, we'll use the card on file to charge the remaining balance.

  • By hosting an event at Barlette, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Barlette, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, suits, actions, liabilities, damages, losses, injury, expenses, or losses brought by you or anyone on your behalf, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

 

Good to Knows

  • The maximum number of guests we can comfortably accommodate is 20 guests. This limit is to ensure a comfortable atmosphere for guests as well as the safe consumption of alcohol.

  • Barlette is available for private parties Wednesday - Saturday.

  • A 50% deposit is required to hold your date, and we cannot guarantee availability until a deposit is received. Cancellations made 14 days or more before your event will receive a full refund. Dates are non-transferable.

  • Cancellations made 7 days or more before your event will receive a full refund. Same-week cancellations will not be refunded, and dates are non-transferable.

  • There is metered parking in front of the Arcade building on Harvard Street and plenty of metered parking behind the Arcade in the Centre Street lot (Lot 11, 32 Centre Street in Brookline).

  • The Coolidge Corner train station is a .01-mile walk from Barlette.

  • Barlette is on the first floor of the Coolidge Corner Arcade and is accessible to wheelchair users. There is also an accessible bathroom just down the hallway.
